Another bespoke project manufactured in house, to meet client specifications and in line with ship systems. This project really was a pleasure to be involved with. The scope involved one 56 Tonne Towing Winch (GM-2000), one 48 Tonne General Hydraulic Winch (CWS-300) and a Dual 75kw Electro Hydraulic Power Unit (EHPU).

GM-2000 56Te Tow Winch

High displacement

  • 54 tonnes on 1st layer, 870mm mean diameter
  • 35 tonnes at 7th layer, 1350mm mean diameter
  • 14 metres/min max on 1st layer

  • Render mode (cross-line relief) 10-50 tonnes first layer

Low displacement

  • 27 tonnes on 1st layer, 870mm mean diameter

EHPU to power CWS-300, GM-2000, A-Frame and Umbilical Winch 

  • Fabricated within a ISO 10ft Container with standard lifting points and forklift pockets. End (opposite doors) to be louvred.
  • Extractor fan fitted through upper side at door end
  • Electrical supply 380V/3ph/50hz or  440V/3ph/60Hz
  • Tank assy including:-1600 litre Stainless steel oil reservoir
    Suction filters
    Return filter
    4-off stop taps with closed position switches
    Level switches for low level and stop level
    4-off temperature switches – heater on (5°C), heater off (10°C), high oil temp (50°C), stop temp (60°C)
    Oil heater EC6-001 rated 4 kw
    Suction filters, return diffusers, level gauge, filler/breather cap.
  • 2 x Electric motor rated 75kW with IP56 protection. Set supply to 415V/3ph/50hz to run at 1475 RPM
  • 2 x axial piston type pump (Kawasaki K3LV-140 ) with load sensing + pressure cut-off + horsepower limiting control, through drive to auxiliary pump, flexibly coupled to the above motor. Set main pumps to 130 cc/rev
  • 2 x boost pumps on through drives from main pumps
  • Water cooled heat exchanger
  • Water supply ball valve

  • Winch control valve with 4-off control sections 24Vdc
